GOLD, by Serakai Studio, reimagines the historical salon as a contemporary space for art, design, and interdisciplinary exchange. Housed at street-level in a former bank and jewellery shop in the heart of Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong, GOLD pays homage to its past while reimagining the future of cultural spaces. Functioning as a cultural test lab, it is equal parts exhibition space, concept incubator, and gathering point where disciplines mix, collide, and reshape one another. Curatorially driven, GOLD hosts an independent programme that bridges culture and commerce. It is a space where art and design can be experienced, scrutinised, and collected, where ideas find new life through discourse and collaboration. More than just a venue, GOLD proposes a new concept in a cultural ecology in transformation. Testing the boundaries between art, commerce, and community, it invites new models of cultural engagement and asks how creativity can live, circulate, and take root in urban communities in Asia and beyond.
